Search building plans
The Archives of the City of Brussels keep the public works (urban development) archive collection. This includes all the building permit dossiers submitted in Brussels since the 19th century.
These documents describe the original condition of buildings as well as successive modifications. making them a vital source of information on the history of urban development in Brussels.
The dossiers held in the Archives relate exclusively to buildings in the City of Brussels: Brussels City, Laeken, Haren and Neder-Over-Heembeek.
For building permits from the Brussels-Capital Region's other municipalities, please contact the municipality in which the building was constructed.
