Requests for reproduction or use of images

Procedure

Any request for reproduction or use of reproductions (commercial or non-commercial), whether private or professional, must be made using a specific form (252.72 KB), which should be returned to ReproArchi@brucity.be. 

The request will be processed by the Reproduction team of the Archives of the City of Brussels:

1. Upon receipt of the request, the Repro team will send the requester a contract, including a quote and general terms and conditions (210.36 KB).

2. After returning the signed contract, indicating acceptance of the quote and terms, the Repro team will forward the billing information to the billing department.

3. The billing department will then send the invoice to the requester.

4. The reproductions will only be sent after payment of the invoice.

Please note that a 2-week processing time is required between receipt of the duly completed form and the handling of the request. For requests requiring faster processing, the invoice amount will be doubled.

Fees

The applied fees are divided into three categories:

• Usage rights: depend on how the reproductions will be used;
• Scanning fees : depend on
  • partly on the technical scanning and/or image processing work performed by the Archives Reproduction team;
  • partly on the type of document requested.
• Other fees : related to the administrative handling of the request.
