Have you ever visited the Archives of the City of Brussels? With Nuage de Points, sculptor Ida Wilot Maus and architect Tomas Barbera Ramallo take you on an exploratory journey through this extraordinary, labyrinthine place.

By wandering around this maze and getting lost in its corridors, the two artists dive into the immensity of archives. Plans, maps, administrative files, correspondence, posters, photographs and conservation boxes offer 1,000 faces, 1,000 perspectives. With each foray, you realise that nothing remains the same from one day to the next, or even from one hour to the next.

Using techniques from their fields—architecture and sculpture, as well as photography, drawings, and writing—Ida Wilot Maus and Tomas Barbera Ramallo recount their wanderings and not entirely lost hours in this heterotopic space. Working in the disciplines that reflect their different backgrounds - architecture and sculpture, as well as photography, drawing and writing - Ida Wilot Maus and Tomas Barbera Ramallo recount their wanderings and not entirely lost hours in this heterotopic space. A plunge into the archive becomes an intoxicating interpretative reading path that eschews linear progress. It’s like a pop-up book that symbolizes the archives.

With its scenographic quality, the installation Nuage de Points conveys the distillation of what the artists have unearthed from the archives. A shelf, an a priori familiar object contains a point which represents the plastic dimension of something ephemeral, of a mirage, a cloud.
